Despite the fact that Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards went to the WWE try-out event last month, and were the most impressive athletes there, the pair continues to wrestle for Ring of Honor Wrestling without contracts. According to Wrestle Zone on Sept. 7, the “ROH Road to Greatness” results indicate that they wrestled for ROH Wrestling last night.
The card was part one of a two-night event and both members of the American Wolves were in singles action. Here is a look at the “ROH Road to Greatness” results for the first night.
The card opened with Roderick Strong beating Raymond Rowe. Following that Adrenaline RUSH beat Mike Posey and Corey Hollis in a tag team match. QT Marshall, who actually wrestled on an NXT card for the WWE was also booked and beat ROH developmental talent Cheeseburger.
Davey Richards was up next and wrestled TV Champion Matt Taven in a non-title match. Davey won the match by submission.
Jay Lethal beat Luke Hawx in the next match.
The world tag team champions reDRagon were up next in singles matches, strange since this is the “Summer of Tag Team Wrestling.” In the matches, Bobby Fish beat Caprice Coleman and Kyle O’Reilly beat Cedric Alexander.
Finally, in the main event of the evening, the final four men in the ROH World Championship tournament wrestled in a tag team match, as Kevin Steen and Michael Elgin beat Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa.
