Metroplex Wrestling kicks off their 2013 campaign with appearances by Ring of Honor standouts Colt Cabana and Jimmy Jacobs, as MPX rolls into Bedford this Saturday night. While it's unknown exactly who they will face, the first event of the year plans to be huge.
MPX General Manager Jiggalo James Johnson has officially declared a break from his GM duties, so he can settle a score with former Asian Nation partner Li Fang. Recently, Fang attacked Johnson after a match when Fang and manager Nigel Rabid finally had enough of Johnson. But the GM returned the favor, after Fan won the MPX Prospect Championship in a battle royal.
Speaking of champions, MPX Heayvweight Champion Barrett Brown has a big challenge ahead of him on Saturday, as he will defend his title against former Prospect Champion Danny Saint as well as "Main Event" Mike Foxx.
Also, Jordynne Grace will be in action as she faces the returning "Wrestling Goddess" Athena. And just announced because of high demand, Joe Angelo goes on-on-one with Kristopher Haiden.
The new MPX Co-GM will also announce the fate of Cabana and Jacobs, as they will both be in action this week.
All of this goes down as MPX will be live at 1820 Reliance Parkway, Suite 100 in Bedford, Texas. Doors open at 7:30 PM, belltime is set for 8 PM. Tickets will be available $8 for adults, $5 for kids, and you can save $2 when you bring your own chair.
