Ring of Honor Wrestling has named their new world champion at “Death Before Dishonor” in Adam Cole. With a new champion, the company now prepares for their next big event, “Glory by Honor,” and PWS reported on Oct. 2 that they have announced their first match.
Of course, Bennett ended the career of B.J. Whitmer with a botched piledriver on the ring apron. After the botch, Bennett has been using the threat of the piledriver to further his villainous persona. After a recent match between Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs, Bennett attacked Steen and piledrove him.
That caused Steen, whose finishing move is the package piledriver, to demand a match with Bennett as soon as Nigel McGuinness could book it. That will be for “Glory by Honor” on Oct. 26 in Chicago.
There is no clue yet who will get the world title shot against new world champion Adam Cole, but it will be neither Steen nor Bennett. The “Glory by Honor” event’s tickets are already on sale, and there is no word yet on whether it will be offered on iPPV after the poor quality of the “Death Before Dishonor” event.
