Just days after the Friday night, July 6th date of Roger Water's The Wall completely sold out Yankee Stadium, the Pink Floyd frontman and concept album visionary has added a second Yankee Stadium show on July 7th.
The 2010 tour dates of The Wall, which stunned audiences with a full multimedia spectacle inside arenas, is now being brought outdoors to baseball stadiums across the country. Yankee Stadium, which has previously hosted Eminem & Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, and the Big 4 of thrash metal - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, & Anthrax (read my review of the Big 4 show here), is being considered the marquee show of this tour, and even with a 50,000+ seat capacity, the Saturday night show will likely sell out as well.
Ticket prices range from a reasonable $42 up to $270 for front row seats, but no matter where you are, the massive Wall and its high definition projections will offer stunning imagery to go along with the iconic story of a rock star struggling with his inner and outer demons.
