Roger Federer speaks out about Tiger Woods; rumors of Woods in sex rehab. Tennis great, Roger Federer told the French sports newspaper L’Equipe that he recently spoke with Tiger Woods; he said that he believe things will get back to normal for Woods and that he couldn’t believe how quickly Woods image was ruined.
“The 33-year-old father-of-two will be back as “as the wonderful golfer we know,” Roger Federer told L’Equipe.
Roger Federer spoke to reporters before the start of the Australian Open and was asked if it was difficult to see one of his friends (Woods) go through the scandal. Federer answered:
“Well, I mean, just following it from afar, you know. All I can say, I’m not going to talk about his personal life, but I wish him all the best, you know, getting back, you know, hopefully on the golf course, resolving his problems, and see how he goes. But yeah, that’s about it,” he said.
Last week, it was reported that Woods is at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Mississippi and was seen by a college student there. The Woods camp has not verified that report.
Rumors about Woods have run wild over the past few months about where he may be. He was allegedly seen in Arizona, New York City, in Palm Beach and the Bahamas. The report that he was at the sex rehab was confirmed by a named person and many believe that this rumor may be true. To read more about the rehab center story, click here.
Tiger Woods favorability rating has been cut nearly in half over the past six weeks. It was at 85% before the Thanksgiving car crash and has dropped to 34%, according to a CNN poll. For more on the poll findings, click here.

Tiger Woods has had three knee surgeries in Park City, Utah and the last one was on April 15, 2008, and took several months off from playing golf. He was determined to play in the US Open and win...which he did on June 14, 2008, much to everyone's amazement less than two months after his knee surgery. He was in pain during the US Open, as shown in this Associated Press photo. After the US Open, Tiger Woods took additional time off to let his knee heal.
