After losing his UFC debut, Roger Bowling will get a second fight in the UFC.
The UFC announced the matchup on Monday evening. The fight is expected to take place on the Facebook portion of the prelims.
Bowling made his UFC and lightweight debut in April against Anthony Njokuani but was knocked out in the second round. It was the first time the 31-year-old had lost back-to-back fights in his career.
“Relentless” got his start in the Cincinnati based promotion MMA Big Show. Bowling went 6-0 in the organization with five first round finishes.
After winning his first seven fights, Bowling signed with Strikeforce in 2010. Bowling went 4-3 in the promotion before moving over to the UFC.
Trujillo is coming off a decision loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in May at UFC 160. Before that, “Killa” was on a five-fight winning streak which included a win over Marcus LeVesseur in his UFC debut in December.
UFC on FOX Sports 1 Indy will be headlined by a welterweight rematch between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann. Also on the card, Donald Cerrone will take on Rafael dos Anjos and Kelvin Gastelum will take on Paulo Thiago.
