Kickstart Saturday morning at 8 a.m. with a run or walk. Meet under the iconic, blue Santa Monica Pier sign at the top of the ramp at Colorado and Ocean to warm-up. Then, take a brisk run or walk around the beach and Pier areas. Choose the 2 or 5 mile course.
Restore yourself with a free yoga class every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. lead by some of best instructors in town. Bring your own yoga mat, and meet at the far west end of the Pier. Inhale and exhale while you gaze at the sea. All levels are welcome.
Triple threat yoga teacher, wellness coach and filmmaker Suzanne Bryant leads the first class on February 22, 2014. Get a sneak peak of her film about transformative yoga on yogais.com. Cory Martin from Hustle & Flow Fitness encourages students to push themselves in a mindful manner, while having fun on March 1, 2014. Yoga Nest's Sara Falugo leads a gentle, meditative class, inviting students to tune into the present in a loving and non-judgmental manner to align with their highest selves on March 8, 2014. Travis Eliot from SM Power Yoga, The Yoga Collective and Equinox leads a physically demanding yet meditative class on March 15, 2014. Terra Gold from Terra Wellness and Yoga Doctors blends ancient tradition with modern therapeutic variations, offering challenges for each level, on March 22, 2014. Paula Tapia from Yoga Doctors leads the final class on March 29, 2014. Her dance, gymnastic and fitness background is bound to influence her style.
