Roddy White injury update news is terrible for the Atlanta Falcons and fantasy football owners. White has an injury to his hamstring as well as his ankle that will keep him on the sidelines for the Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to a report from ESPN on Friday (Oct. 18), "White suffered the hamstring injury in the Falcons' 30-28 Week 5 loss to the New York Jets."
The high-ankle sprain is something he has been dealing with for longer than that, but combining the injuries has apparently become too much for him to withstand at this point. It's going to put Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in a really difficult position, especially since fellow wide receiver Julio Jones is already out for the season with injuries of his own.
White has only 14 catches for 129 yards and zero touchdowns this season. He has been a huge let-down for any fantasy football owner selecting him in the first few rounds of 2013 drafts. The NFL season has almost become a wash for him as well as the Atlanta Falcons as the entire team has struggled to get results. This latest Roddy White injury update is only giving him an excuse to sit out another week. He should not be in any fantasy football lineups for Week 7 as a result.
