Those watching the 2014 NCAA men's basketball tournament sat in shock on Friday, March 21, 2014, as Mercer upset Duke and knocked the Blue Devils out of the tournament. Numerous people were sure that Duke would win, and that included Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver Roddy White. He was so sure that he bet a fan on Twitter some season tickets, but he lost and he paid up.

Well, he kind of paid up.

Someone asked White on Twitter how far he thought Duke would go. White simply responded with, "Championship."

Someone else then got on Twitter and told White that the Bears would wind up with the upset of the Blue Devils. White wasn't going to take that so he responded with:

"if mercer beat duke I will give you season tickets 50 yard line first row"

This is obviously a bet that was going to be taken by the Twitter user known as Dylan Hoyt, and he told White that he couldn't back out if it happened. Hoyt like the idea of being able to see some Falcons games live next season.

Well, Mercer ended up stunning Duke with the upset win of 78-71.

White got on Twitter and said he would pay up, but it obviously is not the original wager that he laid out.

"I lost a bet and I will give him tickets to the bears game since he is a bears fan done with this bet"

So maybe he didn't pay in full, but you can't beat some free NFL tickets.
