Rocky Mountain authors provide over 3000 meals for Food Bank of the Rockies

The Rocky Mountain Writer's Summit was a free event for authors to come and learn about writing, publishing, editing, marketing, finishing, printing their books and even more. It was a wonderful success as over 200 area authors came to listen to likes of Joe Sabah, Jonanthan Manske, Othniel Seiden and EJ Thornton lecture and coach all day long.

The event was free, AFTER a donation was made to the Food Bank of the Rockies. Authors chose to donate either 2 cans of food or $5 and after all was said and done, the event collected over 240 pounds of canned food and over $700 in cash donations enabling the Food Bank to create 3000 meals for the area's hungry.

The Rocky Mountain Writer's Summit took the donation over early Tuesday morning and presented the check to the Food Bank.  Rocky Mountain Writer's Summit will repeat this event and when they do, they will also repeat the cost of admission - help for our Colorado neighbors...

EJ congratulations on a fabulous Writer's Summit. It was truly the best I've been to since I've started writing over 30 years ago. Still can't believe it was free and still you did so much for charity.
