ROCKwell UnScene Radio is now available for your listening pleasure, airing for one hour, 7x per week. The show, hosted by the husband and wife team of Rockwell & "Mischevious Mel" Anderson, is a departure from the typical radio music shows heard on either terrestrial or internet based stations.
The biggest departure from the usual radio format involves the bands that are played on the show. For bands to qualify to be aired on the show, either Rockwell or Mischevious Mel must have seen them perform live. The reason, as Mischevious Mel states, is "Any band or artist can go into the studio sounding like a turd, and with the right amount of polish they can come out of the studio with a perfectly auto-tuned platinum selling album. You can only tell the true quality, or lack thereof, of a band is by seeing them live. It's only when you see a band perform their music live that you can justify buying their music. We've seen over 300 different bands so far this year alone and if their music is good enough live, then we'll play their recorded track(s) on our show."
Another major difference in the show, as compared to all of the others, is the type of bands being played on the ROCKwell UnScene Radio show. Rockwell states, "Besides only playing bands that either Mischevious Mel or myself have seen live, we also focus on Independent bands that are on the rise and/or breaking through. Genre really doesn't matter as long it is Rock based. We play everything from Brutal Grind Core Metal to Underground Ghetto Metal with dashes of Pop Rock, Punk, Rockabilly, and almost everything in between. We want to showcase hard working and talented bands that put on great shows and are worthy of their fans hard earned money. For Mischevious Mel and myself, that philosophy applies to all genres of music because we are true fans of all music, especially Rock based music."
