With "Grand Theft Auto 5" being one of the first titles to start a trend of titles being released sometime during the end of the summer and beginning of the fall, a new "Saint's Row 4" could be following the same trend.
According to a report from VG24/7 on Saturday, Deep Silver's Aubrey Norris sent out a rather indicative tweet that seems to be aiming at a new "Saint's Row 4."
"Dear Media: You’re going to want to be at PAX East this year. If not, you’re going to be missing out on something HUGE. Just FYI!," Norris said.
Chris Stockman, who was design director on "Saints Row 1," has already stated that he has heard other rumblings about a "Saint's Row 4" hitting current generation consoles this coming August.
This certainly would be interesting to see if that actually happens because this would put "Saint's Row 4" in stores this coming August, and one month before the highly anticipated "Grand Theft Auto 5."
Now everyone seems to think "Grand Theft Auto 5" is bigger than any title in the industry, but it does make people start wondering how this will ultimately impact the sales of the game.
This has become more of a question because of how many titles have been slated for release during August and September.
Some are also a bit surprised that this title will not be hitting next-generation titles, but if not, then the development on "Saint's Row 4" was just not ready.
Who knows though, "Grand Theft Auto 5" may still end up the biggest game of the year, regardless.
