Rockstar releases more images from ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ due out in spring (Photos)

On Jan. 4, 2013, Rockstar released even more images from the highly anticipated video game “Grand Theft Auto V.”

IGTA5.com reports the game was announced way back in Oct. 2011, and is slated for release in the spring of 2013.

In Nov. 2012, details of the game were revealed including the main characters—Michael, a retired bank robber; Trevor, a psychopathic criminal; and Franklin a repo man who steals to maintain his lifestyle.

In addition, G4TV.com reports a Google Earth-style interface will assist in switching between characters and missions. The world that makes up “GTA 5” will also be much larger than “Red Dead Redemption,” “GTA 4,” and “San Andreas” combined.

Dating will not be simulated, however, hanging out with friends is possible, reports G4. No celebrities will be portraying any major characters.

The ability to purchase property will not exist, but other items will be available for purchase, according to Rockstar.
