It’s no secret that select GTA Online players have discovered numerous methods that allow them to gain millions of dollars inside the game through unintended exploits. In some instances, these gamers then go into other fans games and deposit enormous sums of cash into the accounts of others through yet another exploit. Rockstar Games, however, doesn’t seem too concerned with removing the currency from the game even when requested to do so. After sharing a message directly from Rockstar Support, one Reddit user confirmed on Oct 23 that the developer is refusing to delete the cash acquired in such a way after the player reported the incident out of fear of getting in trouble themselves for having the ill-gotten currency.
To make matters worse, Rockstar Support replied that they will help the fan in the future should he become banned for having the money rather than preemptively dealing with the offending cash in question now.
It seems odd that the Rockstar Games recently cut all co-op mission payouts in half due in an effort to keep a balanced economy within GTA Online, yet the developer won’t remove millions of exploited cash from the Grand Theft Auto V online multiplayer mode.
Grand Theft Auto V is out now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
