With it now being only a matter of days before the release of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games announced the release of their new mock website on Sept 12 which gives insight into the characters, businesses, and products found within the world of GTA 5. LifeInvader.com is a fake social networking site created by the developer which has novelty accounts jokingly created by the citizens of both Los Santos and surrounding Blain Counties.
Several profiles can now be found on Grand Theft Auto V’s answer to Facebook. There’s one for Los Santos Customs, which is where players will be able to customize their vehicles inside the game. Another advertises InkInc, an in-game tattoo parlor within Los Santos. Others include personal profiles of both professionals and private citizens that are located with the San Andreas setting.
Grand Theft Auto V launches on Sept 17 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Nearly all of the business profiles listed on the fake LifeInvader.com social network have an actual presence within the Rockstar Games’ title. Games can have some form of interaction with these companies inside GTA 5 whether they are clothing stores, airlines, or radio stations.
