Sherry Nettles states that someone broke into a storage shed on their property and stole her husband's four wheeler. At the time of the theft, her husband and youngest son were away on a Boy Scout camping trip and her oldest son was at work.

Her husband, Perry Nettles is well known in the community for his free drive-though Christmas light display that he constructs each year. Mr. Nettles depends on his four-wheeler for transportation to speed up the process.

According to police reports, Polk County Police Officer Earl Anderson responded to the residence regarding the theft and spoke with Nicholas Nettles.

Nettles stated that someone stole a four wheeler from an open shed on the property during the night. Nothing else was reported missing. Officer Anderson attempted unsuccessfully to lift fingerprints from a metal latch that the four wheeler was attached to.

Upon leaving, Officer Anderson checked all the ditch areas up and down Wheeler Ford Road for the ATV but saw no signs of it.

The four-wheeler is described as a red 1999 Honda 300 Four Trax with serial number 478TE1402XA013165.

If you have any information regarding the theft or the location of this four wheeler, please contact Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd @ (770) 748-7331.
