A stolen four wheeler was located just six days after an article was published on behalf of the family requesting help from the public for information regarding the theft that occurred at 57 Wheeler Ford Road in Rockmart.

The four wheeler, a red 1999 Honda 300 Four Trax was stolen from an open shed on the property during the night between the hours of 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25th through the early morning hours of Thursday, June 26th.

The four wheeler was located and positively identified by the owner, Perry Nettles on Monday, July 14. The ATV had changed hands several times since it was stolen. It had also been painted black at one time. The paint was later scraped off to reveal the original red paint.

The Nettles family is very greatful and appreciative for all contributions and for any information that may have helped in the recovery of their stolen four wheeler.

Sherry Nettles released the following statement expressing gratitude to the Northwest Georgia Crime Examiner and the public: "Perry, as well as our entire family would like to thank you and everyone who shared his story on facebook, which most likely played a big part in the recovery of the stolen ATV."

No details regarding the location or suspects involved are available at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
