It's Valentine's Day this week, but what do you have planned for that special someone that is always SO happy to see you, always there with a big kiss, protects you in times of danger, even eats crumbs off the floor? Well this Saturday you can treat YOUR best friend to a special Valentine's Party just for dogs! At the RRUFF Dog Park get photos taken at the "Smooch a Pooch" Kissing Booth, enjoy contests for guessing 'how many treats in the jar', best dog trick and best dressed. Meet other dog owners and members from local meet-up groups: Sacramento Golden Retriever Group and the Lincoln Long Lovers.
One More Dog Rescue will be on-site with some of their precious adoptable dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring items to benefit this local rescue, suggested donations include:
Liquid laundry detergent and dryer sheets to freshen laundry
Dog Food (Iams Large Breed dry, Iams Small Breed dry)
Canned dog food (to make meatballs used for dispensing medication and tablets)
Puppy food (both dry and canned)
Esbilac powder for nursing/orphaned puppies
Quality can opener
Paper towels
X-Large Kongs and peanut butter
Big rawhide chews
For every item you donate you'll receive a ticket to a prize drawing!
