What a great night it was at Darwin's last night as the fabulous Rockaholics, featuring the beautiful and sultry Lisa Kitchens on vocals along with Mike Morrow, who also plays bass, and Hank Walton, Rick Dalton & Jason Winokur on guitars,Mike Young on drums, and Harold Engler: on harmonica,
It's always fun to see The Rockaholics. They are a great party band. They play classic rock and blues songs that everybody knows and loves, such as "Folsom Prison" featuring, as Lisa says, "Mike on the Mike," "Wang Dang Doodle," the bluesier version of "Hound Dog" (Big Mama Thornton did the song first, you know,) and my personal favorite, "Chain of Fools," which Lisa nails every time.
There is really no reason not to go see this band every time you get a chance unless you just don't like to have a good time.
Kudos to Darwin's for providing great food, great atmosphere, and great music once again!
Check out the slideshow for a glimpse of the action.
P.S. Thanks to Lisa for the anniversary shoutout for me and my hubby, who celebrate our 14th on the 4th!
