As they say, “A rolling stone gathers no moss”, and at age 70 Sir Michael Philip "Mick" Jagger, father of four and grandfather of seven, embraced his new role as great-grandfather when Assisi Jagger, his 21-year-old granddaughter, had her first child, a girl, with her 25-year-old chef boyfriend, Alex Key, reports say.
Knighted in 2003, Jagger says he always loved to sing. He even sang in the church choir as a child. Jagger is a Golden Globe and Grammy Award winning English singer, songwriter and would-be actor, best known for his work as lead vocalist of The Rolling Stones.
"Things have worked out pretty well," said Marsha Hunt, '60s icon and mother of Mick's first child. “Mick is a grandfather, and he's a good one.” One can only imagine what a rocking great-grandfather Jagger will be.
In 2007, Jagger and The Rolling Stones took their Bigger Bang tour on the road, which got them into the current edition of Guinness World Records for the most lucrative music tour. The Rolling Stones lead rocker is still going strong after more than four decades with the band, with no sign of retiring in site.
