Rockin' Ribfest returns to Lake in the Hills

Live music, a car show and the best lip-smacking ribs offered to the northwest suburbs, Rockin' Ribfest is back for another year.

Running from July 10-13, Ribfest in Lake in the Hills features some of the best rib chefs from around the country.

With entertainment and live bands from the Chicagoland area, there is something for everyone. Some of this year's lineup includes: DownϟPour: The ACϟDC Concert; Eliminator: America’s #1 ZZ Top Band; 7th Heaven; a Tribute To 80's Hair Bands by The Lounge Puppets; and former American Idol winner Lee DeWyze. Presented by the Lake in the Hills Rotary, Rockin' Ribfest is held at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road. This family oriented event cost $5 for ages 13 and up. It is free for active military with a military ID. Rockin' Ribfest is the signature fund-raising event for the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club. The Club is a service organization made up of business and professional leaders that donate money and time to local community organizations through its fund-raising efforts. All proceeds go towards the LITH Rotary charities.

Open Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 13, 2014, the hours for this event are:
• Thursday/Friday 4:30pm-11:00pm
• Saturday 11:30am-11:00pm
• Sunday 11:30am-7:00pm

Looking for some great BBQ? Then Rockin' Ribfest is the place to go. On the menu these specialty ribs come from vendors around the country including Texas Outlaws; Mojo’s BBQ; Pigfoot; Smokin’ Joe’s Hog Wild Barbeque; Armadillo’s; Cherry Red Roasters BBQ; Coyote Roadhouse BBQ; and from the Chicagoland area, Uncle Bub’s BBQ. Let the BBQ smack down cook-off begin!

Attendees won't want to miss the annual Car Show which will be held Saturday from noon until 3pm including a trophy presentation at 2:30pm.
