Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge tests athleticism

The annual Colorado Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge is coming to Northridge Park in Highlands Ranch on Wednesday, May 28. The annual contest will test boys and girls ages 6-13 in base running, batting and throwing.

The free evening includes a certificate of participation and ribbons for first-, second- and third-place winners at each level of competition. Kids will compete in the following age divisions: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13. All ages are as of Dec. 31, 2014.

The top boy and girl scorer in each age group will advance to a sectional competition, with the top scorers at sectionals moving on to the state competition in August.

Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. Northridge Park is located at 8800 S. Broadway.
