Ever since the conception of the two enigmatic characters, Groot in 1960 and Rocket in 1976, fans of the comic "Guardians of the Galaxy" have always fantasized in their minds just how these two sounded. On Monday, May 19 Marvel has released a second trailer to this upcoming summer's "Guardians of the Galaxy" live-action film which included snip bits of dialogue from Bradley Cooper's Rocket and Vin Diesel's Groot.
This second trailer keeps the same tone as the first one, demonstrating the film's potential to be a wacky action comedy with a ridiculous ensemble of unlikely heroes. We saw hints of a romance between Starlord (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and were teased that Starlord's helmet can disintegrate at will. But the biggest takeaway from this second trailer was hearing the more obscure heroes, Drax the destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot and Rocket deliver lines of dialogue.
Directed by James Gunn, "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be landing in theaters August 1, 2014 in the United States.
