Rockers In Recovery benefit concert to support Hurricane Sandy victims

What do you get when you put together a collection of musical brilliance and a tempest that created turmoil with a name like Sandy to more than fifty million people along the East coast of the United States? A benefit concert of hope. Rockers In Recovery, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to administer a platform to those who have fallen victim to addiction through education and treatment support, have mobilized a lineup of virtuoso’s to raise funds for Sandy’s victims.

This hurricane relief benefit concert will take place at the Cutting Room in New York City on Friday, January 25th, 2013 with performances by the Rocker’s In Recovery All Star Band, which includes Musical Director and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee, Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts), Richie Supa (Aerosmith and Richie Sambora),Kasim Sulton(Todd Rundgren), Mark Stein (Vanilla Fudge), Liberty Devitto (Billy Joel) and Christine Ohlman (Saturday Night Live Band).

Special guests to include 70's British rock icon, Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople), accomplished actor and rock and roll artisan, Michael Des Barres, legendary rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer, Gary US Bonds, Billy J. Kramer of Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, La La Brooks, lead singer of The Crystals, Handsome Dick Manitoba and opening the night with "There's A Moon Out Tonight", The Capris.
