Ten-time Grammy Award winner, the legendary Carlos Santana, will launch an International Tour, making select stops in the US. The Rock Icon, and pioneer in Latin influenced rock music, is appearing in Las Vegas, in a series of shows. Santana will start "The Sentient Tour" 2013, in Honolulu and Kahului, Maui, for the US leg of the tour.
Santana is appearing at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on select dates, from Jan. 19 through Feb. 2, 2013. The tour starts in Hawaii for two dates. Santana is performing at the Neal Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, on Feb. 26, 2013. The next stop in Hawaii is on Feb. 28, at the Maui Cultural Center, Kahului, Hawaii.
Hawaii's location makes it the gateway to the Asia-Pacific. Santana's tour departs from Hawaii with dates in Singapore, China, Bangkok, Thailand, and Taipei, Taiwan. Two stops in Japan, Tokyo and Osaka, moving on to making two stops in New Zealand, and seven stops in Australia.
In addition to scores of Grammy Awards, Carlos Santana, is inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. His band Santana, is mentioned in the Guinness Book of World records for the most Grammy Awards won in a single year, by a group, at 8 awards.
Santana also holds the record for the most successful album by a Latin artist. The album "Supernatural" sold 27 million copies in the US and 100 million copies, worldwide. Santana's total awards won over the band's career are 53.
Santana’s other hits include “Oye Como Va,” “Black Magic Woman” and “No One to Depend On” and the blockbuster “Smooth” featuring Rob Thomas.In 1998, the group Santana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2010, he released the Billboard Top 10 album “Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time.”
