Stereogum.com is reporting that notorious rock star and hardcore partier, Andrew W.K., is the new face of Playtex’s new ‘Fresh + Sexy’ wipe product. The wipes are intended to clean you up between showers to keep the party going. Per the press release:
"This exciting new product required the help of someone who could embody the brand's playful yet bold campaign; someone who could party hard, but still be clean when it counted. Andrew W.K. is that someone and we are thrilled to have him on board with us."
If anyone could be the face of a wipe to promote partying hard, it would be WK. He first came on the scene with the release of his album ‘I Get Wet’ in 2001. He followed it up with 2003’s ‘The Wolf.” He has many fans that follow him in a cult like fashion. He is most notable for his most popular song ‘Party Hard.’
W.K. will be making his first appearance as spokesman this Saturday, March 9 at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas where he is set to host the ‘Fresh + Sexy Black Booth Confessional’ party. He will be passing out free samples and encouraging attendees to share their times where they could have used a Fresh + Sexy wipe.
