A beautiful day - the wind feels great and you’re wondering where to go!! It’s a country back roots scene located in Kirby, Texas….and in a small corner of the club -- IT’S SHOWTIME!!
The VFW Post #2059 located at 3202 Ackerman Rd, in Kirby, Texas welcomes Tony Sawyers and his main band of professional musicians, Ernie Kreth on keyboards and horns, Allen Pederson on drums, Paul Kandera on lead guitar, and of course, Tony Sawyers, on vocals and bass. Meet the jam and bring in the music each Sunday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
This quaint club with three stars and the Lone Star of Texas on its wall can only bring together the best of live music to include all visiting musicians. The Tony Sawyers Jam features a mixture of classic country as well as oldies. From Rick Devereaux and his “Rose Colored Glasses” to Bobby Boykin, Robert Balderon, James Flores, Lisa Sawyers, and, last but not least, Tony Sawyers melting the crowd with his “Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile”.
This is a “show style” jam if you have ever seen one. Bring in the horns, the voice, or any instrument and join the band each week as they support live music. And, if you don’t sing or play an instrument, no worries, come on down anyway -- for the fun – the band will be glad to have you!!
