Treat your sense to the surprisingly aesthetic shapes and colors of Earth's raw materials and indulge your inner scientist at the annual GeoFest at the Indiana State Museum, October 22 - 24th, 2010. Oh...and you get to shop, too!
Exhibitors will display and sell cut stones, fossils and raw crystals from all over the world. Visitors can also create their own unique treasures in an informal jewelry-making workshop on Saturday, Oct. 23. Using beads provided or purchased from exhibitors, visitors can learn to create necklaces, bracelets or earrings. Cost for the workshop starts at $10.
Mix, pour and mold your own concrete at IMI's Interactive Display. Mix rocks, sand, cement and water to make a concrete paperweight.
