Rock's Lounge at Red Rock Casino offers great music for a great price

One of the most overlooked musical venues in town is having an amazing line-up of stars. The price is right at Red Rock Casino's entertainment venue Rocks Lounge. They have been hosting a series of Saturday night concerts with well-known artists. Tickets are under $25 per person.

I saw Delbert McClinton, the blues guitarist last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the show.
On October 2 I was at the show featuring legendary keyboardist Ray Manzarek of The Doors with Roy Rogers and his band. The show, while presenting the new material from their upcoming album tentatively entitled “Translucent Blues” also featured some iconic Doors songs.

My only complaint with the venue is that it is standing-room only. If you get there early you can sit at on a long booth –like couch, however, it is so low that seeing the stage is impossible. If you get there early, there are several tall-top tables to lean on. There are VIP booths that seat eight comfortably and are raised above the main floor with a great view of the stage. Price for the booth is about $50 per person and includes bottle service with one bottle of Skyy Vodka, Jack Daniels or Bacardi Rum.

Upcoming shows include:

October 30: Crash Test Dummies
November 6: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
November 13: John Mayall
November 20: Basia
December 11: Todd Rundgren’s Johnson – Tribute to Robert Johnson
