Rock & Rye celebration brings small town feel to big Iowa success.

This is its third, and largest year yet- The 3rd Annual Rock & Rye Celebration. It's put on by the Templeton Community Betterment Association and the people that make my favorite liquor in the world- Templeton Rye Whiskey.

Here's what's going on:

  • 4-6pm: Free Templeton Rye distillery tours for all ticket holders
  • 6pm: Beer garden is open (All the money goes to the Templeton Community Betterment Association)
  • 7:30pm: Aged Spirits
  • 9pm: The Nadas

Tickets are available HERE.

You don't want to miss this. July 31st in Templeton, Iowa. They're doing charter busses to bring people from Des Moines to Templeton. A seat on the bus is just $50 bucks plus a nominal Eventbrite fee, which includes your admission.

Not only is the bus air-conditioned and equipped with restrooms, you can drink on the bus! (but please bring only cans or plastic bottles- no glass) in squishy, soft side coolers if necessary. The bus leaves from the Jordan Creek Costco at 4pm sharp so you'll have time to take a tour of the distillery.

If you don't want to take the bus, a normal ticket is just $10.

After the show the busses will return to the Jordan Creek Costco- and a cab will be available to drive you home. (You'll probably need it!)
