Rock Hudson is this month's (June) star of the month on the Turner Classic Movies Channel. So in June TCM will be showing 21 movies of his, and it all starts off on June 5 at 8 p.m. EST, with the film "The Last Sunset." The films should all be airing at 8 p.m. EST every Thursday.

Rock Hudson's debut film was "Fighter Squadron," which the 1948 movie will airing on the 5th at 3:15 a.m. in the morning. The movie had been directed by Raoul Walsh, and starred Edmond O'Brien, Robert Stack, and John Rodney. Supposedly for his one line in the movie it took him 38 tries! Since then lucky for us, he became a huge star working in both hit movies and hit TV shows!

Other movies that will airing throughout the month are the following:

  • "Giant"
  • "Sea Devils"
  • "Seconds"
  • "A Farewell to Arms"
  • "Pillow Talk"
  • "Come September"

Hudson was known for his melodramas ("Written in the Wind" is a good example), comedies (especially his romantic comedies with Doris Day), and even he dabbled in the adventure movies.

So once again Rock Hudson is the star of the month, and this begins on June 5 at 8 p.m. His films will be airing every Thursday Night on TCM.
