If you're looking for one more thing to do with the kids this summer, think about rock climbing.  Rock climbing for children can be a great form of exercise and kids just naturally love to climb.

AZ On the Rocks is an indoor climbing gym that will give you lots of exercise without realizing you're getting a workout.

No experience is necessary, they'll teach you along the way.  Kids will tucker themselves out as they keep trying to climb up the boulders.  Fully air-conditioned, there's no need to sweat in the Arizona summer heat by climbing Camelback or Squaw Peak!

Many programs are available for the kids.  They have summer camps, after school programs, memberships, and birthday parties.  They also provide corporate team building events, for the adults.

If parents don't want to climb, they will help Belay. Belaying is also taught by the facility and is quite simple once you try it. (Belaying is basically holding the rope for the climber. You're in charge and you release the rope to let them back down the mountain.)

All necessary gear is provided by AZ On the Rocks, so no need to buy anything on your own.

Yoga and an Exercise room are also available.  The state-of-the-art facility will keep everyone busy for hours.

Remember to bring water to keep hydrated, and maybe a light snack to keep you going.  Passes are for the entire day, so come for a couple of hours or stay longer if your muscles can hold up.
