This annual festival celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month with free live and visual performances by local Latin artists
Once again, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will be welcoming the Latino Heritage Festival in celebration of the rich Latin heritage found in the Northeast Ohio area. The event takes place on the outdoor plaza of the Rock Hall on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from noon to 4:00 p.m. The event includes live performances by local musical actsas well as special representations from local Latino organizations. La Mega FM 87.7 (Cleveland’s Latin music Radio Station will emcee the event with live broadcasts from the Museum. The festival is free, however paid admission is required to tour the Rock Hall exhibits.
This festival is the Cleveland kick-off to National Hispanic Heritage Month that is celebrated each year from September 15 through October 15 and will feature local musical talent and will highlight Latino Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees including Carlos Santana, Linda Ronstadt and Ritchie Valens.
Acts performing at the annual Latino Heritage Festival include:
• The Ivan Ruiz Band is a salsa band from Cleveland, performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s Latino Heritage Festival for the first time. They’ll be bringing dancers to show attendees the steps to really groove.
• DJ Flaco Flash is a regular DJ on La Mega 87.7 and will be spinning the hottest Latin radio favorites.
• La Mega 87.7fm, Cleveland’s “Latino and Proud” radio station, will be onsite and emceeing the event with giveaways and more.

The Museum’s community festivals, sponsored by KeyBank, offer opportunities for Cleveland’s diverse ethnic communities to become more acquainted with the Rock Hall and the range of music styles and cultures it celebrates.
