The agency will represent Sabathia both on and on the field as the Yankees pitcher is coming off of a disappointing season. He currently has three years left on his contract, a contract Rock Nation spokesman Ron Berkowitz said the agency will plan on negotiating when conversations stir before the 2017 season.
CC Sabathia joins other clients that include Geno Smith, Victor Cruz, Kevin Durant and former Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano who left the Yankees to sign a 10-year, $240 contract with the Seattle Mariners.
Roc Nation Sports is proud to have Sabathia as a client. In a statement released, by Roc Nation Sports president Juan Perez, Sabathia is praised as someone who “exemplifies everything Roc Nation looks for in an athlete and a partner.”
CC Sabathia is hoping he, himself and his team bounce back with a strong season, following a 2013 MLB season that saw the team miss the post-season.
