Embracing one’s natural hair has become increasingly popular. After ridding themselves of relaxed ends, many women are left wondering what to do with their natural hair.
“It is the very first comprehensive loc, natural hair and skin care tour. This tour has been designed for individuals who are traditional stylists, natural hair care professionals, barbers, cosmetology instructors/students, the general public and any individual who dares to care about their locs, skin and natural hair.”
Roc Da Locs, created by Mrs. Anita Hill-Moses and Ms. Nadira Chase, was created after the overwhelming response received after the Afro American Music Festival in Toronto, Canada.
“On the way home, we reflected on that awesome experience and realized how many people there are who are somewhat completely in the dark about locs, skin, and natural hair care. We decided to put together classes totally dedicated to this and take these classes to the areas where individuals showed a sincere interest. After brainstorming, Nadira came up with the name "Roc Da Locs" and Anita's Husband (Sherod Moses) immediately went to work on creating a website.”
