Last Friday, LA’s 97.1 AMP Radio hosted a “Top Secret Switch Party” at The Factory (652 North La Peer Drive, West Hollywood) with Swedish pop star Robyn and I was lucky enough to score a spot on the guest list. I grabbed a few of my best girlfriends and joined a packed crowd at The Factory where the beautiful men outnumbered us ladies ten to one. Although her performance lasted only a short 30 minutes, Robyn packed in four of her latest and greatest songs from the Body Talk album: “Fembot,” “Dancing On My Own,” “Call Your Girlfriend,” and “Hang With Me.” Considering Robyn put on the show for free in appreciation of her adoring and dedicated fans, I would call the night a huge success. Those flocking to Coachella next weekend can catch another Robyn performance on Friday, April 15.
Robyn graced the stage in a cropped, yellow-quilted jacket lined in deep red paired with some brightly patterned leggings. Peeling the jacket off after her first song, Robyn revealed a white tank with an ornate, crisscrossed back. Gold plated earrings and a huge gold cocktail ring rounded out her performance ensemble.
