Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer(MGM) and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment today announced that Jose Padilha’s “Robocop” remake will hit home theater formats just in time for summer. The movie will hit Digital HD on May 20, and will hit Video On Demand(VOD), Blu-ray, and DVD formats on June 3.

The reimagining of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 sci-fi actioner earned just over $57 million total at the U.S. box office after its February release. Joel Kinnaman starred as the fated cop Alex Murphy, and Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley and Samuel L. Jackson rounded out the cast.

The “Robocop” Blu-ray will feature deleted scenes and nearly an hour of additional bonus features. At press time, the HD Instant Video version was available for pre-order on Amazon.
