Reboots and remakes are the present and future of Hollywood. Some end up being phenomenal and others end up being the worst thing ever created. With the first trailer released on E! Online on Sept. 6, 2013, for the "Robocop" reboot, it looks as if the former may be in place for this new-age future cop of the past.
The original "Robocop" from 1987 was one that took officer Alex Murphy and made him into the ultimate cop. Murphy suffered a tragic happening on the job, and the majority of his body was put out of commission, but his brain functions were saved and put into a robotic cop.
Peter Weller starred in the original, but Joel Kinnaman of "The Killing" is the new Alex Murphy, and the first trailer looks great.
In reality, the original "Robocop" had Murphy pronounced dead and then being resurrected into the ultimate police officer. In the "Robocop" reboot, Kinnaman's Murphy survives a tragedy, and is then put into the suit in order to save his life and work for the city against crime.
"Robocop" also star Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and so many more. It is set to hit theaters on Feb. 7, 2014.
