Last Friday, Rigell was the only Republican in the House of Representatives to say nay to a bill that would have funded the federal government but defunded Obamacare. The measure, which passed 230-189, has been called dead on arrival in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
Undaunted, a group called Virginia Vision PAC launched a robo-call campaign over the weekend, urging Hampton Roads Republicans to contact Rigell to vent their displeasure.
As of Monday night, some 200 calls were directed to the congressman’s office. Callers could be automatically patched through by pressing “one” on their phone.
