Robin Wright and Ben Foster are engaged. According to Us Weekly, Wright was wearing her engagement ring when she, Foster, and her daughter Dylan attended the opening of Diane von Furstenberg's "Journey of a Dress" exhibition in Los Angeles on Jan. 10, 2014. Although Wright and Foster have not publicly announced their engagement yet or details about the marriage proposal, sources confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple is engaged.
Wright (who is 47) and Foster (who is 33) co-starred in the 2011 movie "Rampart." They first went public with their romance in early 2012.
This will be the first marriage for Foster. Wright was previously married to actor/director/activist Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010 and to actor Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988. She co-starred with Penn in 1990's "State of Grace" and 1995's "The Crossing Guard." Wright and Penn have two children together: Dylan Frances (born in 1991) and son Hopper Jack (born in 1993). Wright and Witherspoon co-starred in the soap opera "Santa Barbara," which was her first big acting job before she found more fame as the star of the 1987 fantasy movie "The Princess Bride."
Foster's other movie credits include 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand," 2007's "3:10 to Yuma," and 2013's "Kill Your Darlings," "Ain't Them Bodies Saints" and "Lone Survivor." He is currently filming a still-untitled biopic about disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, in which Foster portrays Armstrong.
Wright's most recent movies include 2011's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," 2013's "Adore" (formerly titled "Two Mothers"), 2013's "The Congress" and 2014's "A Most Wanted Man." She also co-stars in the Netflix series "House of Cards."
