A truly sad day has befallen so many as Oscar-winning actor and known comedian Robin Williams has died. According to a report from Inside Movies on Aug. 11, 2014, Robin Williams died of an apparent suicide after being found in his home.
Robin Williams was just 63-years-old.
The Huffington Post states that authorities have listed the apparent cause of death for Williams as a suicide, but it has not been totally confirmed as of yet.
Police received a 911 call around 11:55 a.m. on Monday morning reporting that a male adult had been found unconscious and not breathing inside his home in Tiburon, California. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene very shortly after and Robin McLaurin Williams was declared dead at 12:02 p.m.
The Sheriff's office suspects the death to be "suicide due to asphyxia."
Robin Williams is so very well known through the acting community and the entertainment world.
There are so many roles that he is known for, but people remember him for being the voice of the Genie in Disney's "Aladdin," "Mrs. Doubtfire," "Jumanji," "Good Will Hunting," and so many more. One of his most recent big works was the CBS television show "The Crazy Ones."
Williams was in the middle of reprising his role as Theodore Roosevelt in the third "Night at the Museum" film in the franchise. It is set to be released this December.
The family of Robin Williams has respectfully asked for privacy during this time of grief and "during this very difficult time."
