On Monday evening, the world received the sad news that comedian and actor Robin Williams had died. Even more sad are reports that his death is suspected to have been a suicide. Country music artists such as Brad Paisley, Kix Brooks, Lucy Hale, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Chase Rice, Brett Elderedge and more all lit up Twitter with memories and tributes to Robin Williams.
CNN reported on Tuesday that Robin Williams was battling depression at the time of his death and that an autopsy is scheduled to confirm that his death was indeed, a suicide. Even with the the initial reports, fans–including country music stars–are deeply saddened. It’s even more difficult to cope with death knowing that a man who made millions laugh was not, in his own private moments, happy.
Robin Williams brought joy to many for the first time when he so brilliantly played the role of Mork from Ork on the sitcom “Mork & Mindy,” but he went on to star in film after film that touched a place in fans’ hearts. While Robin Williams’ roles could bring a wide range of emotions, he was most famous for making people laugh. His bubbly, zany personality brought joy to many.
Some of films in his legacy include “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Patch Adams,” Disney’s “Aladdin,” “Hook,” “Dead Poets Society,” “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “Jumanji,” “Nine Months,” and “Night at the Museum” among many others.
Evidence of his legacy of laughter was seen throughout Twitter, but country music artists had this to say:

As #RobinWilliams is sadly, but deservedly a trending hashtag on Twitter today, there are countless sweet memories and prayers for the family being offered up. Perhaps, however, a tweet by John Rich of Big & Rich, is a good reminder for everyone.
John Rich posted a picture from Boston Public Park where Good Will Hunting was filmed. On concrete, the following words are written in chalk:
“Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.”
The death of man who gave so much to the world around him is indeed a good reminder that nothing lasts forever. Days are numbered and all would be wise to seize the day and make it extraordinary.
