Robin Thicke on love campaign to rekindle relationship with Paula Patton

While recent reports confirm that singer Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton mutually decided to divorce, looks like Robin Thicke changed his mind.

In a recent performance at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., he sang "Lost Without You" from his 2006 CD "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" as a tribute to his wife/actress Paula Patton and went on record stating he was trying to get her back.

"I want to dedicate this song to [Paula Patton]," Robin Thicke said while walking around on stage. "I wrote this about her, and I need y'all help to get me through it. Let's do it."

Robin Thicke also encouraged the crowd to show appreciation to their own significant others. "If you've got somebody with you tonight that you love and you appreciate, hold on tight to them. You know, take care of them."

The couple has been married for nine years and were high school sweethearts. Most of his music lyrics were speculations of their relationships through the years. Ironically his 2013 CD "Blurred Lines" was the happiest of his six cds, starting with 2003's "A Beautiful World." "Blurred Lines" had more party tracks but the single of the same name lead to a lawsuit settlement with Marvin Gaye's family and (for unrelated reasons) threat of a divorce.

In the original "Lost Without You" video, his wife was the love interest. Although Blurred Lines did better numbers (peaked at number 1 on the Billboard charts, spent 45 weeks on the charts), "Lost Without You" was a hit in the R&B community (peaked at number 14, spent 34 weeks on the charts).

Rumors ran rampant that pop/country artist Miley Cyrus was the cause of the divorce due to their 2013 VMA Music Awards performance. However, Patton was vocal about being present at dance rehearsals and defended her husband and Cyrus for their "Blurred Lines" routine. She also joked about the song not being the type of track to sit at a piano and sing like Alicia Keys. Not to be outdone, she did her own version of twerking (that she called a "shimmy") on "The Arsenio Hall Show."

Patton recently starred in 2013's "Baggage Claim" and had a small role in this year's "About Last Night."
