Gaye's family along with numerous others believe that Robin Thicke's song sound very close to Marvin's "Got to Give It Up," but Robin claims it is not and plans to take it to court to prove his case.
The three musicians claim that they all have "the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies," but must "reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists."
Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks, and is considered summer 2013's biggest song.
