Robin Roberts to make a 'shocking' announcement on GMA

Speculation of Robin Roberts return to Good Morning America (GMA), after the ABC show teased during a commercial, Roberts has a ‘big announcement’ to make on Monday’s show.

Roberts has been on medical leave from the show since summer of 2012, after undergoing a bone marrow transplant following a diagnosis of Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The disease is a rare form of preleukemia that affects the blood and bone marrow.

GMA and Roberts have both taken to official Twitter pages to further fuel speculation of her return. According GMA’s Twitter account, "We've got a special announcement coming from @RobinRoberts Monday on @GMA. Be sure to tune in!"

Roberts reassures her fans that she will make an announcement. On Friday, Roberts tweeted, “Happy Friday. Looking forward to sharing news of my recovery with you on Monday @GMA. Have a fantastic weekend! Blessings.”

While we’re all hoping for Roberts to announce her return to the show, is it too soon?
