Robin Roberts plans to return to ABC's "Good Morning America" no later than the month of February, RadarOnline reports Jan. 14. The GMA anchor who took a leave of absence in order to undergo a bone marrow transplant last September, announced Monday morning on the news program that she'll be back in matter of weeks -- not months.
Roberts, 52, is coming back a lot sooner than she originally announced. A few weeks ago her anticipated return was expected in spring. Doctors say she's progressing well and they feel confident enough to help her slowly adjust back into her old routine in co-anchoring on GMA. Roberts told the staff that she'll begin by arriving early mornings next week and getting her makeup done. Doctors will closely monitor how well her body's system will respond to her busier lifestyle while surrounded by other people...and the stress which inherently goes along with her demanding job.
Robin Roberts admits the one thing she hasn't missed since being absent from "Good Morning America," is the alarm clock. Aside from that, she's ready to get back to work and do what she truly loves. She didn't give a specific date in February, but hinted that it's a day very special to her. Her fans will be happy to see her back in the anchor chair once again.
