Robin Roberts is about to step up to the judges’ table tonight on “Dancing with the Stars” as the show’s very first celebrity judge. She got a special tour and a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on before the big night. The segment was aired on “Good Morning America” on March 31 as the co-host was welcomed with open arms from the three judges.

Carrie Ann Inaba showed Roberts her very own trailer for her day on set. She even presented her with a white robe with her name engraved on it and her own judges’ notebook to possibly critique the dancers as she watches their performances tonight.

Inaba also told the 53-year-old Southerner that the dancers are not allowed in the production office and the judges are not allowed near the dancers as well. Len Goodman, and a chest-baring Bruno Tonioli, also greeted the “GMA” co-host warmly. When Roberts asked the threesome on how the dancers were taking to the new switch up, it sounded like the group was not too thrilled about the prospect of losing their current partners. The judges did agree that it will be quite interesting to see who the audience has chosen to switch them up with.

The fun part of the whole tour was the room with all of the gorgeous dresses that the girls get to choose from to wear on Monday nights. All of the glitter and color was quite impressive. The women did end up bumping into pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy on the way through the tour. It was obviously a no-no for the judges to see the dancers, so after a quick kiss and a warm hello, off they went to finish it up.

The tour ended with Roberts getting her very own scoring paddle from Carrie Ann Inaba to use for the dancers tonight.

How do you think Robin Roberts will do as a judge on “Dancing with the Stars?”
