Robin Roberts acknowledges same-sex relationship

Robin Roberts, a co-anchor or ABC-television’s “Good Morning America,” acknowledged that she is in a longtime relationship with a female, according to Yahoo! News on Sunday. Earlier, Roberts went public with her conflict her suffering with myleodysplastic syndrome.

Roberts asserted, via social media’s Facebook web site, that she is currently at peace and filled with joy and gratitude. She is grateful to God and to her doctors and nurses for her restored good health. She is grateful for her sister, Sally-Ann for being her donor and giving her the gift of life. She is grateful for her entire family, her longtime girlfriend – Amber – and friends as they prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together. She said she is grateful for the many prayers and well wishes for her recovery and she returns every one of them 100 fold. Finally, she said that on this last Sunday of 2013, she encourages her readers to reflect on what they are grateful for, too.

Since the post, it has been said by an ABC News spokesperson that Roberts has been in a 10-year relationship. She is in a relationship with Amber Laign who is a massage therapist who is in a private practice. Her specialty is in assisting persons recover from injuries. She is originally from the Bay Area and met Roberts through mutual friends.
