Robin Quivers is still recovering from "major abdominal surgery," but she returned to the Howard Stern Show Monday morning live via ISDN line from her apartment.

“I had a major surgery, a major abdominal surgery…and a mass was removed from my pelvic area and I do have some more recovery to do, but everything seems to be fine.”

Quivers did not specifically state whether or not the mass that was removed was cancerous or benign, but she seemed optimistic about returning to the studio soon.

"Now that I’m doing this I [feel like] could probably be in the studio," said Quivers. "I feel good."

Quivers, who has been Howard Stern's co-host for over 30 years, says that her procedure was performed at NYU Medical Center.

Howard Stern was outraged that Sirius XM VP Tim Sabean announced on Twitter that Quivers was returning to the show Monday morning.

"I’m gonna f***ing rip his head off. He better keep his distance from me…I go what’s with Tim and the tweets?”

Howard Stern delivered an emotional tribute to Quivers on the last Howard Stern Show when she was out for her procedure last Wednesday.

“I didn’t know she’d be back so soon. I wouldn’t have made that whole speech.”
