Howard Stern's radio personality sidekick Robin Quivers came out and revealed her battle with cancer on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, to let the world know what she has been going through. In the same breath, according to UPI, Quivers also let everyone know that she is also currently cancer-free.
The 61-year-old Quivers spoke on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show that she has battled cancer for the past year and underwent chemotherapy and other forms of treatment. She has been absent from Stern's show for a year.
Robin Quivers said that the cancer was found in her endometrial tissue within the past year. Back in May of 2013, she revealed that she would be undergoing a "procedure" to remove a tumor on her bladder, but she never gave any other details.
When Robin Quivers announced she was having her procedure, Stern said, "I'll f---ing kill you if you have cancer. I'm not doing the show without you … I'm quitting if you're not doing the show."
Thanks to the treatment though, Quivers was happy to also say that she is now cancer-free.
Stern said Monday of Quivers' battle, "I thought she was a goner," noting that he still gets chills listening to her story.
